August 16-25, 2019

From August 16 to 25, RIKEN participated in the “Thailand National Science and Technology Fair 2019”, the annual exhibition in Bangkok, the country’s largest science and technology fair of the year. According to the local media, more than 1 million people visited the fair, and most of them were Thai students. This year’s theme was “Science, Technology and Innovation: Inspiring Creativity for Better Living and Sustainability for the Nation”. RIKEN joined the fair as a part of Japan Pavilion for the third time. RIKEN booth featured introduction of RIKEN national science institute and programs for young researchers as well as RIKEN’s Brain Science research collaboration with Chulalongcorn University in Thailand, and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. With the help of joint research collaborators from Chulalongcorn University at the booth, we explained and answered many inquiries from Thai visitors about our research activities.
